Li (Jasmine) offers acupuncture, Tuina manual therapy (Chinese Massage based on meridians and acupoints), moxibustion, cupping, scraping and traditional Chinese herbal medicine to alleviate various pains and treat other internal diseases such as mental conditions, digestive and respiratory system disorders, women’s health, etc. Dr. Ma is a practitioner of Classical Chinese Medicine. She uses pulse examination as the main diagnosis method. The core concept in TCM is Qi, which can be described as the vital life force that flows through the universe, as well as in human body. Qi is invisible to ordinary human, but the status of Qi can reflect from the pulse when examined by experienced TCM practitioners. When there is something wrong with one’s health condition, there must have been some problem with circulation of Qi, which results in the changes of the pulse. The truth about acupuncture is to regulate Qi by adjusting the unbalanced pulse back to balance, using tiny acupuncture needles. Patients usually don’t feel any discomfort while the diseases are treated from the root. Soft and fair goes far.
Li Ma is also a Yoga Alliance certified teacher. She often gives advice on correct poses to eliminate chances of neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, etc. She also practices aroma touch technique using Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils, based on TCM theory and gets amazing results. Combination of modern healing methods with ancient therapies is what Jasmine always keeps pursuing.
